My most sincere apologies.
Like the song above, most things are based not on what they are but in what they seem to be.
The illusion is something to be nursed and taken care of, maintaining a status of primal preference over everything else.
When that moment is shattered, nothing ever stays the same. That don’t mean everyone should abandon their feelings and aspirations, but every action as its consequences. When we forget those who are close to us, the ground just gets wide open and swallow us.
